A lovely place to eat - nice setting, great service and very interesting food with beautiful presentation. Of the five dishes we ate the Yellowfin Sashimi & Tuna Tartare, Chopped Avocado, Wasabi Foam with Three-Chile Vinaigrette (115 Pesos) was our favorite.

The restaurant serves primarly small plates with is perfect for us since we love to try lots of things and share them - If you want your own plate they also have larger servings of many dishes.

Chef and owner Rino Di Gianvincenzo is one of the most outstanding Italian Chef's in the Bay Area. Villagio is a bit out of the way just off Moraga Road in a small shopping center in Lafayette, CA, but it is well worth the trip. His menu changes as the best ingredients change, but his gnocci is consistantly GREAT and his veal chop is outstanding. When he has Salmon Trout as his fresh fish it is time to get in the car and go - it is as good as in Northern Italy.
